About me

As a corporate lawyer, it’s my job to assist my clients through the different stages in the lifecycle of their business. No two days are the same, and no two clients are alike! A huge part of corporate law is problem solving, ensuring transactions run smoothly and the desired outcome is achieved – whether that’s raising finance for business growth or assisting on a sale.

I always advise you based on your short, medium and long-term goals, getting involved early on in the process. This allows for forward-planning and means we can get key documentation in place to support business growth.

Working with businesses and investors, my specialisms include early-stage investment and funding, M&A and corporate re-organisations.

Outside work I love supporting aspiring solicitors entering the legal profession through my social media and podcast. I also love travelling, walking and cooking.

Top Tips & FAQs

Discover my top tips

Take legal advice early on. It is often significantly more time and cost-effective to get us involved in discussions early on

Communication is key. Picking up the phone or sending a quick email informing us of any changes, concerns or questions can help solve issues quickly. We are always happy to talk matters or concerns through

Get organised early. Articles of association and shareholders’ agreements may seem like a headache and an unnecessary expense, but failing to adequately protect key elements of your company can be more costly and time consuming further down the line.

My frequently asked questions

Why can’t I use a precedent I found online?

We would never recommend finding precedents or documentation online. We’d always advise a solicitor drafts your legal documentation. More often than not, precedents found online don’t incorporate key English legislation, and are often more costly than having a solicitor draft your documents for you.

Can you help?

Nine times out of 10 the answer is yes – however, if it’s not our area of expertise, we will know someone in the firm who can help you.

How long will my matter take?

It’s difficult to predict how long a matter will take – we often have to involve a number of parties and advisors, but we will always try and meet your timescales where possible.
