Lia Phillips

Solicitor

Why choose me

I help people buy and sell property, whether they’re first-time buyers, moving home, purchasing an investment property or buying through a trust.

I advise on the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages and transfers of equity. I enjoy the variety that comes with residential property work, particularly investigating issues that arise from searches and title documents and helping clients overcome obstacles along the way.

I understand that moving home can be both exciting and stressful, so I focus on making the process as smooth and straightforward as possible. I provide clear, jargon-free advice, keep clients updated throughout their transaction and am always on hand to answer questions.

I pride myself on being approachable and responsive, supporting clients through what is often one of the most significant financial decisions they’ll make.

Outside work, I enjoy travelling, spending time outdoors and making the most of opportunities to be with friends and family.

Questions my clients ask me

Every transaction is different, and timescales can vary depending on factors such as how quickly a mortgage application is processed, whether any survey issues need to be addressed, whether a management company is involved and how responsive all parties are throughout the transaction. As a general guide, most residential property transactions take between eight and 12 weeks to complete, although some may progress more quickly and others may take longer depending on the circumstances.
