Philip Parkinson is commercial property solicitor, and the new head of Commercial Property in the Worcester office. Prior to taking that position in February 2014, Philip had led the Commercial Property team in Cheltenham for the previous three years. Philip says of his move to the Worcester office “I am really pleased to have made the move to the Harrison Clark Rickerbys Worcester Office. The Worcester marketplace already seems vibrant, positive and increasingly confident. I am very excited about developing the Harrison Clark Rickerbys Commercial Property team in Worcestershire”.
Philip trained as a commercial property lawyer and worked for three years post qualification at Eversheds in Birmingham, before moving to Gateleys where he worked for five years before relocating to the then Rickerbys firm in Cheltenham. Philip comments further that clearly the merger between Harrison Clark and Rickerbys was a very important event in the history of both firms. “The chance to bring together the pre-eminent firm in Worcester together with one of the major Gloucestershire practices to create a top 100 legal firm was irresistible and the breadth of expertise and ability that it now offers the firm’s clients really set the firm on a par with much larger provincial firms, at a much lower cost to our clients”. Philip believes this is a compelling strength of the HCR offering.
Philip retains many of his old Birmingham and Cheltenham clients and is regularly recognised as a leading individual in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Philip has a significant expertise in the commercial property development, landlord and tenant matters, corporate transaction support and traditional real estate owner/occupier investment arena. Out of the office Philip lives between Cheltenham and Worcester and enjoys family and village life, golf and skiing. Most weekends he can be found on the side of various sports fields supporting his two sons.

The practice was boosted by the arrival of Harriet Murray Jones from Knights Professional Services Limited.

Real Estate Finance Manager
I would like to thank you for your assistance throughout the course of this transaction, which has not been without its difficulties. Your focus on trying to ensure that the deal got done, and not on point scoring, has been much appreciated.
