I advise universities, companies and professional bodies, helping them to navigate complex legal and regulatory matters.
I specialise in commercial law, combining technical legal expertise with clear pragmatic judgment. I enjoy the variety and challenge these areas bring, as well as the opportunity to support lawful, fair and transparent decision making.
My experience spans contracts, data protection, freedom of information, risk and compliance, and professional standards and ethics, including matters relating to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) code of conduct. I am particularly experienced in complex or high-risk issues where sound judgement and a strategic approach is critical.
Having worked in both private practice and in-house, I have a strong understanding of the commercial and operational pressures my clients face.
I take the time to understand my clients’ strategic objectives, not just the issue in front of us, to provide practical, solution-focused advice that aligns with their wider goals. I understand pressure points and remain calm and strategic under pressure. I’m approachable, responsive and proactive, identifying risks early and helping to resolve issues before they escalate.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my three children, walking my dogs and playing netball.
