Why choose me
I help businesses affected by insolvency, whether their own or someone else’s, by providing clear advice at what is often a very difficult time.
I specialise in contentious insolvency, an area where no two matters are the same. The work covers a wide range of disputes and often goes beyond legal problem solving. It’s important to understand the business, the people involved and how the situation has developed to achieve the right outcome and make a meaningful difference for clients.
I focus on looking beyond the immediate issue and understanding what my clients are trying to achieve. By considering the wider picture, I aim to find solutions that not only resolve the current problem but also reduce the risk of future issues. Where appropriate, I work closely with colleagues and trusted contacts to make sure clients have the right support in place.
I act for insolvency practitioners, litigation funders and company directors, advising on a broad range of disputes. This includes claims brought by office holders, claims against directors, antecedent transaction claims, breach of duty and breach of trust claims arising from insolvent estates, as well as debt recovery and fraud and conspiracy claims.
Clients can expect honest, straightforward advice and consistent support throughout. I understand these situations can be stressful and uncertain, and I aim to guide clients with reassurance while always being clear about what can realistically be achieved.
Outside work, I enjoy travelling and food.
