I’m an employment solicitor specialising in the education sector. I work closely with schools and colleges to help them navigate the full range of staffing matters.
Employment law changes constantly – new legislation, case law and ways of working mean there’s always something new to get to grips with. No two matters are the same, which makes the work rewarding, and it’s an area I genuinely care about.
I support independent schools, maintained schools and sector bodies including the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association, the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools and the Association of Governing Bodies of Independent Schools.
I advise on day-to-day workforce management as well as complex or sensitive issues, such as workplace disputes, dismissals and redundancies.
My approach is empathetic and supportive. I like to build longstanding relationships, so clients feel comfortable picking up the phone to me. By understanding the immediate issue and its wider context, I help clients make informed decisions.
Outside work, I enjoy reading, badminton, travelling and socialising with friends and family.
