Why choose me
The education sector plays an important role in peoples’ lives, which is what drew me to specialise in this area of law. It’s fantastic to work in a field that is so central to society.
Having been both a trustee and a member of a multi-academy that has undergone significant growth, I have seen the issues that really matter first hand.
I specialise in corporate, governance, regulatory and project matters within the education sector and I enjoy the variety of working with some of the country’s largest academy trusts one day, to a maintained 40-pupil primary school the next.
With a strong reputation for delivering complex projects in line with client expectations and timescales, I believe my approach and knowledge adds genuine value to the individuals and organisations I work with, beyond the application of black letter law.
In my previous role, I worked with large-scale academy trusts on expansion, governance issues and commercial activities, which included working closely with the Department for Education on several high profile intervention and re-brokerage matters. I have also advised on complex issues on several multi-million-pound turnover trading vehicles for academy trusts.
Primarily a solutions-focused lawyer, I adopt a clam and measured approach to dealing with issues. I’m enthusiastic yet pragmatic and enjoy developing close working relationships with my clients.
Outside of work, I’ll take any excuse to get out on the water with my family and make the most of the UK’s amazing coastline and beaches!
