We, in conjunction with the ISBA, have prepared a template contract of employment for housemistresses/housemasters. This is now available for download in the ISBA reference library.
The template contract addresses the changes to the requirements for written employment particulars introduced in April 2020, and also includes optional provisions for ‘on call’ and sleep-in workers, as well as optional provisions for those housemistresses/housemasters that also undertake a proportion of teaching in school.
As a matter of good housekeeping, schools are reminded to update their template contracts of employment to ensure that they also reflect the April changes. Updated template contracts for teachers, support staff, heads and bursars are all available in the ISBA reference library.
