Worcester Vigornia Rotary Club in the spotlight

27th September 2021

Partner Anita Hennessey of our family law team are members of Worcester Vigornia Rotary Club, which was started 13 years ago.

The club, whose motto is ‘service before self’, supports the local community in Worcester by way of funding and volunteering for, local projects in need of support. One such annual project was providing Christmas parcels of food to those most in need in the local area.

Anita has recently marshalled in aid of the Worcester full and half marathon on behalf of St Richard’s Hospice. They can often be seen in Victorian fancy dress at the Christmas Fayre, which is the club’s main fundraising event, closely following by its annual sports day – this has attracted many participants across the firm, enjoying the three-legged race and tug of war involving many other local businesses.

The club also supports international projects such as the Rotary-wide project “End Polio Now” which has contributed to a complete eradication of polio in some countries.

Anita was recently invited to the inaugural Mayor of Worcester’s banquet representing Worcester Vigornia’s efforts in the local community.
