Join us for International Women's Day

The theme for this year’s annual celebration is #AccelerateAction.

To explore this topic, we will be hosting a panel discussion and we will be welcoming the following guest speakers:

  • Nicola Ridley – Nicola is a creative, results orientated and diverse HR leader, and mum to three children. She is the Head of People and Culture at Jaguar Land Rover and has previously held senior HR positions at some of the UK’s largest employers – PepsiCo, Lucozade, Ribena Suntory and BT.
  • Dr Luke Moseley - Luke is the Deputy Head teacher at John Kyrle High School, part of the Heart of Mercia Multi-Academy Trust. As an experienced educational professional, Luke is instrumental in the leadership of the school which aims to ensure students are "Ready, Respectful and Resilient" by furthering their passions, nurturing their well-being and preparing them for the opportunities of our world.
  • Dipti Hunter – Dipti is a Dispute Resolution Partner at HCR Law. Alongside her successful legal career, Dipti is also a founder and director of Project UpLIFT, a not-for-profit forum that provides support for LGBTQI+ and allies working in the legal, investigations and forensic fields. Dipti has been shortlisted in the Women and Diversity in Law Awards in the category DE&I Champion of the Year - Private Practice Lawyer.
  • Sarah Lamonby – Sarah is the women and girls Development Officer for Luctonians Rugby Cub. She is incredibly passionate about females in sport and ensuring that any barriers in place are broken down. Having two young daughters herself, she aims to inspire them that anything is possible. Having played many competitive sports, Sarah is the current Vice Captain of the ladies team at Luctonians.
  • Discussion hosts: Jenny Staples and Arpinder Dhillon – Jenny and Arpinder are both Corporate Partners at HCR Law. Jenny is Head of Hereford office and Arpinder is Head of Wye Valley office. Both play a key role in the leadership of the teams based within those offices and the wider firm, with a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion.

As well as hearing from our speakers, there will also be a Q&A session and a networking breakfast.

We are inviting voluntary food donations to support West Mercia Women's Aid local refuges. Suggested items include pasta, rice, cereal, tinned goods, biscuits, tea, instant coffee and squash. If you are able to, please do bring along a food donation
