Join us for lunch and conversation as we explore how businesses can help tackle literacy challenges and improve opportunities for young people through volunteering, mentoring and corporate partnerships.

Hosted in partnership with Read With Me, this event will bring together local business leaders, educators and volunteers to discuss the impact of literacy support programmes and the role businesses can play in helping young people thrive.

The afternoon will begin with a buffet lunch and networking in the Boardroom, followed by a fireside chat in the Seminar Room featuring perspectives from:

  • Linda Cohen, Founder of Read With Me, outlining the Turning Pages campaign
  • Alison Walker, Director of Children and Family Centres & Youth Services at Gloucestershire Gateway Trust, discussing the challenges facing young people
  • A student who has benefited from literacy support sessions
  • A volunteer sharing their experience of making a difference

Together, we'll explore how collaborative community initiatives can create meaningful change for young people while delivering positive outcomes for businesses and their employees.

Agenda

  • 12:30pm: Buffet lunch and networking
  • 1:00pm: Fireside panel discussion and audience Q&A
  • 2:00pm: Further networking
  • 2:30pm: Close

We hope you can join us for what promises to be an informative and inspiring discussion.
