HCR Law’s Worcester office is celebrating a double victory at the Worcestershire Law Society Awards 2025. The firm took home two honours: Fiona Lawson-Hughes was named Solicitor of the Year, while Alina Malova received the Employee of the Year award.

Charlotte Thornton-Smith, Head of the Worcester office, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won two awards that highlight the incredible talent and dedication of our team. These accolades are a testament to the strength and growth of our firm.”

Fiona Lawson-Hughes, winner of the Solicitor of the Year award, said: “Being nominated was an honour in itself, so to win is truly humbling. I’m grateful to my colleagues whose support makes everything possible.”

Alina Malova, Employee of the Year, commented: ” I am delighted to have been recognised for my contribution within the legal sector and named as Employee of the Year. It’s a real privilege to be recognised alongside such outstanding professionals.”

Established in 1841, the Worcestershire Law Society champions the legal profession and community across the county. Its annual awards celebrate excellence and achievement in the legal sector.

This year’s winners were announced at a black-tie gala held on 12 September at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford, bringing together legal professionals from across Worcestershire for an evening of celebration and recognition.
