HCR Law expands CHIC offering

HCR Law, a Top 50 UK law firm and CHIC supplier under Lot 3: Development, has strengthened its services to CHIC members through significant growth.

The full-service firm has acquired Leamington Spa-based Wright Hassall, a well-established supplier under the 2020–2024 CHIC framework. HCR Wright Hassall continues to advise CHIC members on ongoing matters under the 2020 – 2024 framework.

Alongside this acquisition, HCR Law has recently welcomed two nationally recognised development specialists:

• Louise Drew – A leading expert in social housing and later living, ranked in Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500. Louise has held senior leadership roles, including Managing Director and Head of Building Communities, and now joins HCR. She advises across health and social care, specialising in real estate matters, and is a regular speaker at industry events such as the Housing LIN Summit.
• David Perry – A respected affordable housing specialist, previously national Head of Affordable Housing at a national law firm. David is ranked in Chambers and Partners and recognised by the Legal 500. He brings extensive experience in buy- and sell-side transactions across affordable housing and build-to-rent markets, focusing on residential development and regeneration schemes.

Both Louise and David are based in HCR Law’s Birmingham office in the Colmore Business District.

Following this growth, HCR Law now comprises over 1,060 staff across 12 offices in England and Wales.

This expansion, combined with recent senior appointments, provides CHIC members with enhanced expertise and a comprehensive service – all under one roof at HCR Law.
