HCR Law shortlisted for five South West Rainmaker Awards

The HCR Law Corporate team has been shortlisted for five awards at the inaugural South West Rainmaker Awards 2025.

Voted for by peers in the corporate finance community, the awards celebrate both the talent and strength of deals taking place in the South West.

HCR Law has been nominated for National Legal Team, demonstrating the reach and coverage the firm has achieved following consistent growth and development over the past few years.

Senior Associate Louisa Leach has been nominated for Rising Star in recognition of her outstanding work on a range of high-profile matters. Louisa has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in handling complex cases which has delivered excellent results for her clients.

The Corporate team has also received nominations in three deals categories. In the Medium Deal of the Year category, they received a nomination for their advice to Actica Consulting in relation to its acquisition of high-impact software provider, Gemba Advantage.

For Large Deal of the Year, it was the team’s work on the management buyout of AIS which led to their nomination while their advice to Amcomri Group Plc on its acquisition of EMC Elite Engineering Services Ltd meant a fifth nomination, this time for Out of Region Deal of the Year.

The awards evening will be held on 19 November at Bristol’s Harbour Hotel.
