HCR Law shortlisted for two awards at Insider Media’s South West Dealmakers Awards

We’re delighted to share that HCR Law has been shortlisted for two awards at this year’s Insider Media’s South West Dealmakers Awards.

The firm is a finalist for Law Firm of the Year and Large Deal of the Year, recognising the strength and breadth of our corporate work across the region.

The Large Deal of the Year nomination celebrates a transaction completed late last year by our South West Corporate team.

Corporate Partner Rachael Reeves advised the shareholders of Gloucester-based Ground Control Technologies Holdings Ltd on the sale of the business to CLS UK Limited, part of the CLS Group, a subsidiary of CNES (the French Space Agency) and a global leader in satellite-based monitoring and connectivity.

Ground Control specialises in satellite IoT devices and cloud-based monitoring platforms, with operations across four UK and US sites. The sellers included management and private equity firm Horizon Capital UK, which targets investments in middle-market companies valued up to £100 million.

It has been an exciting year for our Corporate team. Earlier this year, HCR Law was named the UK’s top legal adviser for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Experian’s MarketIQ Full Year 2025 report.

The firm secured the number one national ranking for 2025, maintaining first place by a 17.6% margin. Regionally, HCR Law remains top-ranked for M&A deals in the South East, South West and East of England.
