HCR Law Corporate Partners, Rachel Turner and Joel Molloy have both been shortlisted up for Lawyer of the Year at this year’s Thames Valley Deals Awards, hosted by The Business Magazine, in partnership with Insider Media.
The firm is also shortlisted in the Corporate Law Firm of the Year category and for Deal of The Year (over £50m).
The Thames Valley Deals Awards reward the best-performing professional advisory firms in the region, as well as the best individuals working within them and highlight the most significant transactions completed in the region during the qualifying period.
The recognition follows Experian’s June announcement that HCR Law had retained its position as the UK’s leading legal adviser for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the Experian MarketIQ Q1 2026 rankings.
Ranked first nationally once again, the firm strengthened its lead over its nearest competitor by 37%, reflecting its continued prominence in a market increasingly focused on strategic, high-value transactions rather than volume alone.
HCR Law’s Head of Thames Valley Corporate Team, Rachel Turner, who has just been named in this year’s Legal 500’s Leading Partners rankings, said: “It’s been a busy year for our corporate team in the Thames Valley which is one of the UK’s strongest destinations for inward investment. The region has a Gross Value Added (GVA) growth of 1.7% predicted for 2025 to 2028, with Reading topping the overall UK growth chart at 2.2%”
Joel Molloy, Corporate Partner in the Thames Valley, added: “This is a great acknowledgement of the shared knowledge and experience of our team being deployed to support this fast-growing region.”
The winners of the Thames Valley Deals Awards will be announced at a gala dinner event on 11 November.
