A care home provider approached HCR Law after receiving two warning notices from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The client was concerned about the potential impact of these notices on their reputation and possible enforcement action from the CQC.
Drawing on extensive experience in the sector, our Healthcare Regulatory team conducted a detailed review of the CQC’s findings, scrutinising the evidence and the context which had led to the notices being issued.
The team advised the client on preparing robust representations to the warning notices, addressing every issue raised by the CQC and providing clear explanations, factual clarifications and supporting evidence to challenge the accuracy and fairness of the concerns raised.
Following submission of the representations, the CQC accepted the arguments in full and withdrew both warning notices. This outcome safeguarded the client’s reputation and ensured the continuity of their services without the threat of regulatory action.
