In response to increasing client demand for specialist legal advice across an expanding number of areas, HCR Law has achieved significant growth over the past 12 months.
Real Estate Finance is one such growth area, with the team servicing a wide range of lender and borrower clients across the country.
An increasing volume of instructions, has seen the Real Estate Finance team expand their reach to the Thames Valley area, welcoming newly qualified solicitor Rafaela Sachollari. Rafaela previously worked in the team as a Paralegal and a Trainee Solicitor and has now joined the team on qualification.
Our dedicated Real Estate Finance team comprises over 20 specialist lawyers who act for lenders across the UK on secured lending matters. The team advise on all aspects of property finance transactions covering portfolio and property refinances, investment and acquisition finance, bridging and buy-to-let mortgages as well as development funding. Given the broad experience of the team, they have the capability to work within a fast paced, high-volume environment, but also have the expertise to provide bespoke advice tailored to our clients’ risk profiles.
The Real Estate Finance team sits within the wider Real Estate team which includes over 100 lawyers, who advise on all the aspects of the commercial property life-cycle, from acquisition development and funding through to asset management and disposal and everything in between.
Bridging finance
Within the Real Estate Finance team, we have dedicated fee earners with expertise in the bridging finance space, acting for both bridging finance lenders and borrowers.
The team regularly deal with bridging finance transactions to both individual and corporate borrowers and understand the need for efficient service at a reasonable cost.
Specialist buy-to-let team
We have a dedicated specialist company buy-to-let team led by Tom Matthews, who are fully versed in buy-to-let lending issues. The team deal predominantly with residential and semi-commercial buy-to-let properties that are purchased by companies.
This specialist team was created due to the additional due diligence needed on the company aspects of these transactions including checking the company structure, dealing with corporate authorities and ensuring any debt being used to acquire the property by way of director or shareholder loans is subordinated in favour of the lender.
We are currently on the panel for more than 30 lenders and pride ourselves on being able to get deals done efficiently and collaboratively.
If you have any questions in respect of the above, or if we can be of any assistance, please contact the Real Estate Finance team at HCR Law.
