Introducing Central England’s own junior professionals networking group, HCR Emerge

Emerge was born out of the lack of a local networking group that specifically targeted junior professionals who are emerging into their careers.

If you haven’t been to many events before, networking can be a daunting experience.

We’ve heard people ask:

• What do you talk about?
• How do you approach people you’ve not met before?
• What‘s the best way to approach a group of people and get involved in the conversation?
• How can I make meaningful, long-lasting connections with my peers effectively?

Emerge intends to address these issues – which everyone, regardless of seniority or experience, will have asked themselves at some stage.

One of the drivers behind Emerge was to create an environment that would serve as a gentle introduction to the world of professional networking.

Since launching in late 2023, we’ve hosted numerous events, inviting over 100 local junior professionals. We have been racing, painting, pizza-making, and more importantly, connecting with junior professionals from businesses across the Central England area.

As well as providing a platform for junior professionals, Emerge is also proud to support local businesses.

For example, we approached The Ark, a vegan café situated on a boat docked on the River Nene, who kindly hosted our ‘Paint and Prosecco’ evening.

More recently, Pala, a small pizzeria in Northampton town centre, catered our event for over 30 attendees which we held in the grounds of Delapré Abbey – bravely (or perhaps foolishly) tempting fate during a classic British summertime. Thankfully, the weather was glorious!

As Emerge continues to grow, along with the connections made, we look forward to what this year holds, including our upcoming Autumn event which we will be releasing details of shortly.
