3rd April 2024

Dr Kerry Beynon has joined HCR’s growing team in Wales, as a Partner in the Cardiff office. Joining the firm’s Commercial team, led by Partner Robert Capper, she will elevate the firm’s cyber offering, spearheaded by Partner and Head of Technology, Nicola McNeely.

Kerry is widely known as an influencer in her field, practicing for many years in intellectual property and data protection law, and has a professional interest in AI, its regulation and the way businesses can leverage it to best effect. She is also a nationally published author and regularly provides training sessions for government organisations, SMEs and international businesses.

HCR’s Head of Commercial, Robert Capper said: “Kerry’s reputation as a cyber expert precedes her and we are delighted that she is joining us. Her trusted and innovative approach, met with the breadth of expertise across our award-winning team at HCR is a recipe for success, and our clients will certainly benefit greatly from that combination. Welcome Kerry.”

Kerry said: “HCR’s presence across the cyber technology community is well-established and the firm’s ethos centres around helping its clients be successful – that’s certainly my primary motivator, too. I’m very much looking forward to being part of the team.”

HCR is a regular at co-working space at TramShed Tech in Cardiff, as well as Hub8 in Cheltenham and Plexal (Stratford) in London. In January 2024, HCR announced a partnership with CyNam (Cyber Cheltenham) which builds on the longstanding relationship and shared values. The two organisations will share knowledge and add value to cyber and technology innovators across HCR’s regional reach in England and Wales.
