

HCR Law has welcomed technology specialist David Hall to its growing Technology and Innovation team as a Partner based in the firm’s Birmingham office.
With nearly 25 years of experience, David brings deep expertise in technology supply and supply chain contracts, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and data compliance. He has built a strong reputation advising entrepreneurs and organisations across the private, public, and third sectors, helping clients navigate the cost, risk, and legal impact of buying, selling, and using digital technology and data.
David’s appointment reflects the continued expansion of HCR Law’s Technology and Innovation team, led by Inger Anson, which brings together specialist lawyers advising on AI, Distributed Ledger Technology, cybersecurity, technology protections and disputes, and tech-focused real estate solutions. As digital transformation accelerates across industries, demand for expert legal guidance in these areas continues to grow.
David joins a team of industry-leading legal tech specialists, including Partners Frank Jennings and Dr Kerry Beynon, who both joined the firm in 2024.
Demonstrating its growing presence in the technology sector, HCR Law recently exhibited at Cambridge Tech Week and has recently announced its sponsorship of CyberVerse, a new feature of Birmingham Tech Week. Taking place on 23 October 2025, as part of the UK’s largest regional tech festival and conference.

David will be based in HCR Law’s Birmingham office, located in the Colmore Business District. His appointment follows a series of senior hires, including David Perry and Peter Brewer, who joined as Partners this summer in the Real Estate and Dispute Resolution teams respectively.
