Impact55 runner-up: Lambda Agri

Impact55 runner-up, Lambda Agri has developed a product which can increase crop yields by up to 20%. The coating they have developed converts UV light into red light which is needed for photosynthesis.

There are several impacts created by the product including a reduction in electricity consumption due to less reliance on artificial red light. It is also increasing domestic crop production as less crops need to be imported (creating additional CO2 savings), and means less land is needed to yield the same amount of crops.
