MP visits law firm following CSR initiative

29th April 2022

Cheltenham MP Alex Chalk visited Harrison Clark Rickerbys (HCR) today to hear about their corporate social responsibility initiative.

The initiative, which saw 200 saplings planted in under two hours at the National Star College in Cheltenham, is part of a wider programme which will support four local charities: the Nelson Trust, the National Star College, the Pied Piper Appeal, and the Cheltenham Hospital Oncology Garden.

Staff filled a meeting room with bags of donations in time for his visit today, including donations of books, cds, and a giant teddy bear.

The MP, who became Solicitor General last year, visited the firm’s newly refurbished Cheltenham office today to talk to staff as well as representatives from the four charities about the initiative.

Kristine Scott, head of HCR’s Cheltenham office, said: “Corporate social responsibility which includes volunteering our time and giving back to the communities we live in are an important part of the culture and ethos of HCR.”
