Emilie Darwin, currently a partner at Harrison Clark Rickerbys in Cheltenham, has accepted the post of Director of Membership Services with the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS).
Emilie is a very experienced Cheltenham lawyer with an in depth knowledge of the independent school sector. She spent some time recently on secondment to the Independent Schools Council (ISC) and is a regular speaker at conferences hosted within the independent sector. Her arrival will further improve the depth of knowledge available to support members in their roles. It will also, no doubt, strengthen linkages to Harrison Clark Rickerbys with whom IAPS already has a very good relationship
Christopher King, CEO of IAPS said: “Emilie’s appointment is a very important one within IAPS as her expertise, combined with the existing team at Leamington Spa, will offer a vast range of qualified, experienced and relevant knowledge to all members. As the new strategic plan emerges, Emilie will play a key role in shaping and delivering an enhanced service to IAPS heads.”
Kristine Scott, Head of Education at HCR, said: “Our education team has grown and developed over recent years – our expertise was recognised with a national award last year for legal advice to educational institutions – and two new partners were promoted last month as part of our strategic growth. We look forward to working closely with Emilie and IAPS.”
