About me

I have always enjoyed guiding people through the process of buying or selling a business. Creating strong relationships with clients, so that I can fully support and advise them, is vital to a successful outcome because I can then genuinely become part of their team and focus on what they need and want from the transaction.

Covering the full range of corporate transactions, from mergers and acquisitions to joint ventures, corporate finance and governance, I act for listed companies, multinational corporations, venture capital funds and family owned businesses.

Outside work, I enjoy mountain biking and golf.

Selling my business

Deciding to sell my business was a long and hard decision, but having finally decided it was the way forward my biggest dilemma was how to go about it? Martyn was recommended to me and from my first meeting with him I had every confidence in him, his relaxed and friendly, yet confident and professional, approach was very reassuring. Translating jargon I had no clue about into "everyday language" made things so much easier for me. He was always available, approachable and never failed to return a phone call. From start to finish, he was at our side guiding and advising us. I am thankful for the recommendation and would without doubt recommend him to anyone desiring to sell their business.

Read questions I'm frequently asked

How long will this take?

That will depend on many factors; things such as where the purchaser is with its funding, whether any regulatory approvals are needed and have issues been identified during the due diligence process can all have an impact on the timing of a transaction.

How much is it going to cost?

This will depend on the complexity of the transaction and our scope of work; please note that we can often scope the work to fit an acceptable fee.
