I have experience in a range of corporate transactions which has brought particular focus on the technology, mining and healthcare sectors. This has ranged from start-ups through to listed companies.
Outside work, my passions include endurance sports such as running and cycling. In 2022 I achieved a life goal of running the London Marathon. I also love reading, photography, yoga and food.
Communication is the bedrock of success, particularly in a team setting. If you are unsure about something, ask the question; if there are concerns, share them. The most effective form of communication is through talking, and it is usually the quickest way to clear the question.

We want to raise finance by allotting shares for growth, is this as simple as issuing new shares?
It is essential to consider the company’s incorporation and constitutional documents and any shareholder’s agreements as there may be restrictions to be reviewed – and potentially changed before any allotment of shares can go ahead.
How long will the transaction take?
This is something to talk about at an initial conversation and is realistically something that will always be managed along the way, but ultimately, it depends on what it is. Factors such as cooperation from the other side and whether anything unexpected arises out of investigations may impact timings.
