Oliver Brown

Solicitor, Healthcare Regulatory

Why choose me

If you’re faced with litigation in a care environment, it’s essential you get the right advice as soon as possible. I specialise in commercial litigation and health and social care regulatory law – meaning I can see both sides of the situation; from both a commercial business and industry position.

In the current economic environment, health and social care providers are encountering increasing amounts of financial disputes with local authorities and integrated care boards. I break down what can be complex, stressful information into something simple to understand, and provide you with solutions tailored to your problems.

I work with residential care homes, providers specialising in complex neurological conditions, and providers who specialise in learning disabilities and autism, who are facing litigation. My specialisms in the area mean from commercial litigation to health and social care regulatory work and judicial review, I’ll be able to guide you through the process.

In commercial litigation, I specialise in the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. I’ve also advised providers on the complexities of handling the Care Quality Commission and regulatory enforcement action, along with judicial review proceedings to seek injunctions against the publication of CQC inspection reports.

Outside of work, my passions are sports – namely football, skiing and tennis.
