I am a partner within the real estate team and specialise in health and social care. Our health and social care team has an enviable position in the healthcare legal services market, combining specialism with breadth.

Working with registered providers, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, health and social care providers (including children’s services) and their advisors and funders, I understand the particular challenges of this sector and what it takes to get a successful outcome for clients.

I thrive on the time pressure involved in health and social care transactions. I’m flexible, commercial and accommodating, and go the extra mile for every client whenever possible. Working out of office hours or at weekends is not a problem if it helps to ease clients’ concerns or to speed up transactions.

Recent work has included some major acquisitions of properties occupied by service users for registered providers – handling more than 30 properties at a time, where more than 150 people live and are cared for, is complex. Because of my in-depth understanding of the social care sector, I am able to smooth the process for both providers and users.

In addition to my work as a solicitor I am also an Islamic scholar and have a degree in Classical Islamic Theology and Jurisprudence. As head of our India hub, I play a key role in our international team.

Outside of work, my passion is my family, football, going to the gym and holidays.
