Acting for a growing university in support of its ambitious plans for the future, an HCR team led by Tim Littler and including Mark Carter and Harry Bengough, handled the refinance and development issues related to a major redevelopment.

The university refinanced its bank facilities with one bank and obtained development funding from another for a major campus redevelopment. The associated planned growth and increase in student numbers will provide a significant boost for the surrounding area – HCR won the work in the face of stiff competition from a prominent national law firm.

The work included reviewing and negotiating two separate LMA-based facility agreements, dealing with all property due diligence issues, preparing City of London Law Society certificate of title and dealing with all construction work.
