The theme for this year’s annual celebration is #GiveToGain.

To discuss this topic, we will be hosting a panel discussion and we will be welcoming the following guest speakers:

  • Lindsey Young – Lindsey is CEO at Clarkson Evans, the largest electrical and solar installation subcontractor serving the new build housing industry. Having joined Clarkson Evans in a junior role after graduating university, her career path in the company has encompassed roles in HR and marketing, as well as overseeing the in-house apprenticeship training programme. In addition, Lindsey is a Governor for AccXel and a member of the University of Gloucestershire Business Advisory Board.
  • Dame Clare Marchant – Clare is Vice-Chancellor and CEO of the University of Gloucestershire, having joined in 2023 following six years as UCAS Chief Executive. She is passionate about delivering reform and value in public services, and particularly, the benefit education can bring to both an individual’s overall life chances and creating a more productive society. Clare started her career within manufacturing, before moving to management consultancy with Deloitte, then central and local government, latterly as Chief Executive of Worcestershire County Council. Clare received a damehood in the 2024 Kings Birthday Honours for services to Higher Education.
  • Krissy Scott – Krissy is a Partner at HCR Law and is both Head of Education and Head of Cheltenham office. Krissy is trusted by schools to provide legal support and advice on a range of issues, from staff matters to parent and pupil issues including sensitive and complex child protection and pastoral matters. She is recognised UK wide as a leading practitioner and expert in the field of education and employment law, ranking in the 'Hall of Fame' by The Legal 500. She is regularly invited to speak at national education conferences.
  • Panel Chair: Nicky Godding – We are delighted to welcome Nicky, editor of The Business Magazine, to chair the panel discussion. Throughout her journalism career she has interviewed some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs who have built multi-million-pound businesses and reported on many science and technology firsts. She reports on the region’s thriving business economy from start-ups, family businesses and multi-million-pound corporations, to the professionals that support their growth and the institutions that educate the next generation of business leaders.

As well as hearing from our inspirational speakers, there will also be a Q&A session and a networking breakfast.
