Abergavenny florist blossoms under new ownership

30th November 2017

A new florist is now flourishing in the centre of Abergavenny, thanks to legal support from Harrison Clark Rickerbys inc Shawcross’ Wye Valley office.

Jackie Godfrey bought Powells Floral Occasions, based on Frogmore Street, from its long-term owners Roger and Christine Powell, renaming it Field Day Flowers and giving the business a complete refurbishment.

Arpinder Dhillon, Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ head of business services for the Wye Valley, who led the deal with assistance from Caminelle Apperly, said: “We were really pleased to be able to support Jackie with this new venture. It is fantastic that a well-established local business will continue to flourish under her direction.

“Any business purchase is a major commitment for a client and the team at Harrison Clark Rickerbys always does what it can to accommodate clients’ needs. In this case, it was important to all those involved that the deal completed on a Saturday afternoon and we made sure that we met that timeframe; if it’s important to our client, then it’s important to us.”

Jackie said: “”Arpinder and Cami at Harrison Clark Rickerbys became an integral part of my ‘team’ during the process of purchasing the business. They offered solutions and guidance at every turn and were approachable and open throughout. Arpinder demonstrated her commitment by making herself available so that we could complete the purchase on a Saturday. I look forward to working with Harrison Clark Rickerbys again as my business grows and expands.”
