HCR lead national M&A deal league table

Demand for mergers and acquisitions from clients ensured Harrison Clark Rickerbys held its lead across the UK for the number of deals it completed during the first nine months of this year, taking top spot in the South West and East of England and second place in the South East and Midlands, according to Experian’s third quarter M&A report for the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Working together with clients and with colleagues across the firm to meet demand from clients in a very active market, HCR’s corporate teams also made third place in Wales, and seventh place in both London and the North West.

Rich Wilkey, head of the firm’s corporate team, said: “ We’ve seen the high levels of activity at the start of the year continue throughout 2021, and while the pent-up demand has been met, the market is still very active. Tech deals are high on the list – for us that includes Circle IT and Syniti as well as Full Fibre and Vuealta; the pandemic highlighted our reliance on technology of all kinds.

“The pipeline is looking good ahead too, so we expect to be kept just as busy into 2022.”

Experian ranks deals by volume and by value. You can see the full report here.
