With thirteen ‘Leading Individuals’ – including recent addition, family partner Roopa Ahluwalia – three partners in the ‘Hall of Fame’, four ‘Next Generation Partners’ and three ‘Rising Stars’, HCR Hewitsons’ latest Legal 500 ratings reflect the demand for services the firm’s Cambridge office has seen since the merger between Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Hewitsons last year.

The firm as a whole received 44 Tier 1 – 3 rankings. The Legal 500 seeks testimonials from clients. One client said of HCR Hewitsons’ Cambridge team: “Great communicators providing clear explanation of legal requirements, implications and language with advice that recognises the commercial realities of an issue.” Another said: “The agriculture team is highly knowledgeable and has strength in depth.”

The firm’s private client team, led by Daniel Curtis, has the largest private wealth team in the region, with over £350m of trusts under management, and in 2021 advised on trusts with an additional value of £450m. Colleague, Bernadette O’Reilly is described as “A consummate safe pair of hands”.

Up-and-coming partner in the Commercial Litigation team, based in the firm’s offices on Station Road, Stewart Morrison is described as: “truly exceptional, extremely hardworking with an incredible eye for detail”.
