13th May 2022

HCR’s corporate team have followed a £1bn deals year in 2021-22 with a top ranking for M&A activity according to Experian, helping clients to realise their ambitions and bucking the trend for lower deal volumes compared to last year.

Experian’s Q1 M&A activity report this year shows the firm in first place across the UK, in London, the South East, South West, East of England and the Midlands, taking third place in Wales.

The report shows a slow start to 2022, with the number of deals down 36% across the UK compared to the same period last year, as the pent-up activity following the pandemic has dissipated.

Rich Wilkey, head of HCR’s corporate team, said: “We have got off to a great start this year – our clients know that we are completely focused on achieving their aims and will go the extra mile every time for them.

“The pipeline looks good for the future too; there is, of course, global uncertainty, but there will always be ambitious and entrepreneurial people who want to grow their businesses or invest strategically.”
