About me

Being a corporate lawyer is about helping clients to achieve their business goals – whether it’s selling a company they’ve grown and nurtured or buying to enhance and bolster an existing portfolio. Transactions are often a highly stressful and pressured process, but that can be eased with a trusted legal advisor.

I take the time to understand a client’s business and the individual on a personable level, removing any unnecessary jargon. I appreciate that clients also have their business to run, so I do my utmost to ease the process and take as much of the leg work as possible. My experience includes working with multi-million-pound businesses, private equity investors and local businesses on a range of matters, from corporate governance and due diligence to mergers and acquisitions.

Outside work, my passion is horse-riding and exploring new places with my beloved cocker spaniel.

There’s no such thing as a stupid question – if you’re unsure of anything during a transaction, just pick up the phone and I’ll be happy to chat things through with you. Communication is key.

Provide us with as much information and detail as possible – the more we know about your business (warts and all), the better. The earlier we know about any potential issues, the easier it is for us to find a solution.

If you are considering an exit, preparation and organisation are paramount – this will help to ensure the process is as smooth as possible.

Read questions I'm frequently asked

How long will it take?
No two corporate transactions are the same, and timescales will vary. However, we will look to give a reasonable, realistic timescale at the outset of a transaction, and work with you to help ensure this is met.

Is there anything we can be doing to prepare for a sale?
To help ensure the smooth running of a transaction, having all information and documentation relating to your business in order, up-to-date and readily available is essential, particularly when it comes to the due diligence process.
