About me

Family Law is all about helping people in difficult situations and guiding them to a new, more positive chapter. It is a deeply personal area of law and there is nothing more gratifying than seeing clients reach the best possible outcome for them.

I appreciate how worrying and nerve-wracking the process can be, so my priority is to keep clients informed and up to date as much as I possibly can in a clear and approachable manner. No matter how big or small the query is, I am always available for open and honest discussions – clients should know where I am when they need me. Having worked in all aspects of family law including divorce proceedings, financial matters and child contact disputes for a range of clients, my advice is always tailored to individual needs and concerns.

Outside work, I love spending time with my Labrador and seeking the next outdoor adventure – a bit of stand-up paddle boarding (if I can stay upright!) along the river Wye is a personal favourite!

Heartfelt testimonial for Chartered Legal Executive after complex case

Jennifer Lindup-Salmon, a Chartered Legal Executive within our Hereford Family Law team supports clients with all aspects of family law. Jennifer was recently instructed by a client in respect of their children, mid-way through proceedings. She assisted them up to and including the final hearing and conclusion of matters. The case involved a number of complex issues involving relocation and Local Authority involvement. Jennifer received the following comments from the client. “Jennifer you have been amazing. Children Act matter settled by family lawyers

When a client required help with Children Act matters, they turned to Chartered Legal Executive Jennifer Lindup-Salmon and Senior Associate Penny-jo Wilson. There had been a history of domestic abuse between the parents involves. Jennifer and Penny-jo acted swiftly in issuing a C100 application at court - and at the end of the proceedings, they managed to secure the client having regular contact with her children going forward. This had initially been stopped by the father when he not only removed the children from her care but also relocated them to another part of the country, causing complications in the client being able to regularly seeing her children. Thanking them for their assistance, the client said: “Thank you so very much for all your help. It'd been a tough year, but you have both been fab. I really appreciate all you have done for me”.

Clare Whittaker and Jennifer Lindup-Salmon recently assisted a client with divorce and financial matters. They advised and supported the client throughout financial remedy proceedings in respect of matrimonial finances and brought matters to a successful conclusion. A settlement reached at the financial dispute resolution hearing, avoiding the necessity of the cost and attendance at a final hearing, meant the client could move on to a new chapter in her life. Following the case, their client said: “Clare, I can't thank you and Jenni enough for all your hard work and support. I’ve felt very confident with you in my corner, and that goes a long way.” “I'm over the moon that I can now start the next part of my life, thank you for helping me set myself free, so to speak. Amy-Marie Vale recently assisted a client in securing an urgent non-molestation order against her client’s ex-partner. The order would protect both her and her children’s safety where there were serious allegations of domestic abuse. She was supported by Chartered Legal Executive Jennifer-Lindup Salmon during the process. Amy-Marie also successfully obtained a child arrangements order and prohibited steps order to prevent the father from removing the children from the client’s care, the Court having determined that this was in the children’s best interests to safeguard them from harm. After the case concluded, Amy-Marie’s client said: “My whole life and my children's life is much better. It's all thanks to you and what you've done for me. Thank you very much. I will always be grateful to meet you and for your help”.

Assistance with financial proceedings leads to client testimonial

Clare Whittaker, a partner within the Hereford Family Law team, assisted by Jennifer Lindup-Salmon, a Chartered Legal Executive, regularly assists clients within divorce and related financial proceedings. They provided advice, understanding and support to a client within contested financial remedy proceedings and secured the client a favourable settlement during the Financial Dispute Hearing, avoiding the need for attendance at a Final Hearing.
