Asset-based lending expert joins HCR Law’s Banking and Finance team

Steven Geerlings, an expert in cross-border asset-based lending, has joined HCR Law’s Banking and Finance team as a Partner in its London office.

Steven brings extensive experience advising businesses on financing their international growth, specialising in complex transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and asset classes.

He specialises in secured lending structures, with a track record of helping clients realise value while navigating legal and regulatory requirements across different countries. Fluent in five languages – English, Dutch, French, German and Italian – Steven brings strong cultural awareness and the ability to bridge gaps between markets, advisers and stakeholders.

His appointment supports HCR Law’s ongoing investment in top talent as demand for sophisticated banking and finance advice continues to grow.

Steven will work closely with clients on both transactional matters and identifying new opportunities, supporting businesses through growth and distressed situations in international markets.
