HCR Law Cardiff announced as Law Firm of the Year finalist

HCR Law’s Cardiff office has been named a finalist in the Law Firm of the Year category at the BusinessIn Wales Awards 2026, recognising its continued growth, client-focused approach and contribution to the Welsh business community.

Since opening in 2020 in response to client demand across Wales, the Cardiff office has experienced sustained growth, expanding from a small team to more than 70 colleagues based at Hodge House in the heart of Cardiff.

Backed by the resources of a Top 50 UK law firm, the team provides a full range of legal services while maintaining the insight, agility and personal service of a dedicated Welsh practice. The shortlisting reflects the office’s strong reputation for delivering commercially focused legal advice and building long-term client relationships.

The BusinessIn Wales Awards celebrate excellence across the Welsh business community, recognising organisations and individuals that demonstrate outstanding achievement, innovation and leadership.

The Cardiff office’s impact extends beyond legal services. The team supports a range of charitable and community initiatives across Wales and hosts its bi-monthly Breakfast with HCR networking event, bringing together local professionals to build connections and create opportunities.

The office has also been appointed to the National Procurement Service (NPS) framework, enabling it to provide legal services to public sector organisations across Wales. In addition, it was recognised as the most active dealmaker in Wales in Experian’s MarketIQ Q1 2026 rankings, further demonstrating its position as a leading law firm in the Welsh market.

The winners will be announced at the BusinessIn Wales Awards ceremony on 8 October 2026 at The Parkgate Hotel, Cardiff.
