HCR Law has supported Silveray on its latest £5m funding round, helping accelerate the next phase of its growth.

A University of Surrey spin-out, Silveray is developing ultra-thin, flexible X-ray technology designed to make imaging more accessible, affordable and patient friendly.

The investment will enable the business to scale production and move further into healthcare applications, including diagnostic imaging and cancer treatment monitoring, as it brings its technology closer to clinical use.

Inger Anson, Partner and Head of Technology and Innovation, said: “Silveray is a strong example of the UK’s ability to translate world-leading research into commercially impactful technology. Its approach to X-ray imaging has the potential to improve both patient experience and clinical outcomes. It’s been a pleasure to support the team on this milestone and we look forward to seeing how the business develops as it grows.”

Dan Cathie is Co-Founder and CEO of Silveray. He said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank James and Inger for your excellent work on the deal, thanks for helping get it over the line, and for the occasions you’ve had to work late into the evening to accommodate the timelines.”

This deal reflects the continued momentum in the UK’s deeptech and healthtech sectors, and HCR Law’s experience supporting high-growth businesses as they move from innovation to commercial scale.
