HCR Law’s Cheltenham office shortlisted for Social Impact award

HCR Law’s Cheltenham office has been shortlisted for the Social Impact award at the South West Business of the Year Awards 2026, hosted by TheBusinessDesk, in recognition of its fundraising, volunteering and community partnerships across Cheltenham and the wider South West.

Over the past year, colleagues have raised thousands of pounds for local charities including Linc, Read With Me, the Gloucestershire Deaf Association and Cheltenham Animal Shelter through events such as the annual Charity Netball Tournament and Christmas Quiz.

The office also supports community initiatives through volunteering, including the ongoing restoration and maintenance of the Cheltenham Hospital Oncology Centre Garden, as well as participation in town-wide projects such as Tidy the Town Civic Day and painting a sensory room for the YMCA.

The nomination reflects HCR Law’s broader commitment to environmental, social and governance priorities. Across the firm, more than £151,000 was raised for charitable causes in the past 12 months, while continued progress towards its net zero by 2040 commitment saw overall carbon emissions reduce by 7% despite significant business growth.

The winners of this year’s South West Business of the Year Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony at Bristol Harbour Hotel on 12 November 2026.
