The team has advised Fieldwork Robotics on its latest fundraise, supporting the business as it advances artificial intelligence (AI)-powered agricultural technology to tackle labour shortages and improve efficiency.
Fieldwork Robotics is developing autonomous harvesting technology using robotics, machine vision and AI to help reduce waste and support scalable food production. This latest investment will accelerate commercial deployment and international growth while expanding ‘harvesting-as-a-service’ revenue models.
As part of the team’s deep expertise, Nicola McNeely advised on the company on an intra-group transfer pricing licence agreement between its UK holding entity and its US subsidiary. This helps establish an appropriate commercial framework to support its international operations.
Inger Anson, Partner and Head of Technology and Innovation at HCR Law, said: “We are pleased to support Fieldwork Robotics as it moves from innovation to commercial scale. Its use of robotics and AI shows how technology can deliver real-world impact, and it’s been great to work alongside such an ambitious team.”
This deal highlights the Technology and Innovation team’s experience in supporting high-growth businesses from early-stage funding through to scale-up.
