Keeping major life decisions on track with simple solution

15th June 2020

A simple solution is often the best, and a pop-up safe meeting space for clients who are shielding or simply anxious about venturing into offices to meet their advisers, has been created by HCR lawyers at their Wye Valley office.

Combining social distancing, fresh air (and shelter) and an appointment booking system, the meeting space can be used by people who want to discuss their legal affairs, need to sign their wills, discuss their powers of attorney, move their property purchase along or simply meet their lawyer without having to worry about venturing into a crowded town or city or into an office.

David King, head of Private Client at the Wye Valley office, said: “We know that many people want and need to keep the key decisions in their lives moving forwards and some have felt really worried about the consequences of not social distancing or potentially putting themselves at risk by entering enclosed offices. We have been visiting clients at home, taking will and LPA instructions, helping them to sign their wills in their gardens, for instance, but we wanted to offer an alternative as lockdown starts to ease and people who have been shielding start to think about going further afield.”

The pop-up space will be open from 9am to 5pm by appointment only on Tuesdays and Fridays from 23 June onwards – appointments can be made by calling 01989 562377.
