Thames Valley Deals Awards – Lawyer of the Year

Rachel Turner, head of our corporate team in the Thames Valley, has been named Lawyer of the Year in the Thames Valley Deals Awards, winning the award in a category featuring highly regarded lawyers from national and international firms.

The awards, run by The Business Magazine, covers a broad cross-section of the region’s vibrant corporate community – the presentation would have been made in November at the Madejski Stadium in Reading, but restrictions on events prevented the ceremony going ahead. The Lawyer of the Year singles out the go-to lawyer who stands out, either because of one deal or because of their entire portfolio through the year.

Rachel, who has led on deals involving ranging from investment by BGF into Juriba Ltd to the acquisition of Quantuma Advisory by K3 Capital Group, said: “I am really delighted to have won this award, especially given the calibre of the finalists. I could not have achieved this without some great working relationships in the Thames Valley’s corporate finance community. 2019-20 has been an extraordinary year in so many ways, with introductions to some great new clients, the building of a strong HCR corporate team here, and now this recognition of our place front and centre of deals activity in the region.”
