Being a corporate solicitor calls for a broad range of skills. Alongside technical ability and interpersonal skills, problem solving and creative thinking are important given the diverse and often challenging nature of the work. Being commercially aware of the sector my clients operate in is also crucial, so I can better understand the challenges they face and help overcome them.

Education, as one of the most important sectors in our society, is an ever-evolving and demanding corporate landscape. I find it particularly fulfilling to see my clients grow and succeed, especially when that success directly benefits people’s lives.

I support a variety of clients, from long-standing and leading independent schools, charitable organisations and not-for-profit companies, to commercial school groups and for-profit entities. My approach is to put clients at ease, by being open, empathetic and attentive. I achieve my client’s goals by maintaining a hard-working and methodical attitude, particularly when matters are complex and challenging.

Outside work, I’m trained to a professional standard as a classical singer and perform in a range of settings, including solo concerts and recitals, opera, church or choral performances. I’m also an avid golfer and tennis player, and enjoy running, hiking and exploring new places.
