Spotlight on Nathan Guest…

18 March 2025

We are shining the spotlight on Nathan Guest, Partner and Head of Plot Sales.

  1. What type of legal advice do you provide?

While I handle a broad range of Real Estate transactions, my primary focus lies in residential development.

  1. Why did you choose your specialism?

It was an area I was always interested in when I first qualified. When the opportunity came up to specialise in residential development a few years ago, I jumped at it. I enjoy working with my various clients and the dynamic nature of each development keeps the work both challenging and exciting.

  1. What type of work does your team do that is relevant to Homes England? Or have you been involved in any Homes England projects?

My team run the Homes England plot sales work which involves working on multiple development sites on behalf of Homes England. Our role is to ensure the smooth processing of plot sales, ensuring compliance with the terms set out in the building lease agreements.

  1. How have you supported your local community?

While the demands of my role and family life currently limit the time I can dedicate to community involvement, I am passionate about finding ways to give back. I actively support charity initiatives within the firm and, looking ahead, I am eager to dedicate more time to local causes. In the future, I hope to take on roles such as a school governor or trustee for local organisations.

  1. Why do you think a commitment to helping the planet is important? And can you give any examples where you have made a change to help the planet?

The effects of global warming and the decline in wildlife populations are becoming increasingly evident, and as a society, we must take greater responsibility. It’s essential that we act, not just for our own benefit, but for the well-being of the entire planet and all its inhabitants.

I’ve recently made the switch to an electric vehicle (EV), and while we still have one petrol car, I’m planning to transition that to an EV in the next couple of years. Additionally, our family incorporates vegetarian meals into our diet 1-2 times a week. We also take steps to support local wildlife by regularly putting out bird feeders, and we’re planning to install a couple of nesting boxes this Spring.
