HCR’s Rachael Reeves led on Leviathan Engineering’s acquisition of the majority shareholding of GMD Eurotool Ltd (GMD) for an undisclosed sum.
Leviathan, based in Bristol, will expand the business and GMD, based in Plymouth is likely to be the first of several acquisitions on its journey to becoming a wider, integrated engineering group headquartered in Bristol. Leviathan aims to focus on premium value and growth sectors where various engineering services can be shared to address larger, more technical projects.
GMD has a strong reputation for undertaking complex projects and turnkey solutions for customers in the South West, including in highly valued sectors such a marine, defence, food processing, energy and pharmaceuticals.
Rachael, who was assisted by Mark Edwards, said: “Leviathan have been a client for some time, and I’m delighted to be able to support them at the start of an ambitious and well-planned journey towards a new business model for the company.”
