Successful sale of insurance brokers thanks to Thames Valley Corporate team

Led by Rachel Turner, HCR’s Thames Valley Corporate Team recently advised the shareholders of J. Bennett & Son (Insurance Brokers) Limited on its sale to the Jensten Group.

High Wycombe based J. Bennet & Son was established in 1908 and along with its subsidiary company, Oxford based Mathews Comfort & Co Limited, has a reputation for providing expert insurance advice to commercial clients specialising in life sciences and the biomedical field.

Peter Sutcliffe, majority shareholder of J. Bennett & Son, said of the deal: “J. Bennett & Sons is a business that provides high quality client services based on valued heritage and niche specialisms of which Jensten’s values strongly align. When we accepted the offer for sale we knew we needed a legal team that would understand these values and also the highly technical aspects of the deal.”
