Earlier this year, HCR’s Cheltenham office launched their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative – giving back to charities in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire and supporting local events.
Since April, team members have volunteered for our fantastic local charity partners: National Star College, Pied Piper Appeal and The Nelson Trust. From sapling planting and mass charity shop donations – where Alex Chalk MP visited for a meet and greet – to a women’s product drive and volunteering for fundraiser golf days, the Cheltenham office have been involved with various opportunities to help make a difference to those in need.
Leading the initiative is Rachel Roberts, Partner and Head of Employment in Cheltenham, who said: “Our CSR initiative is a boost not only for the community but also for staff morale. We are delighted to support each of the local charities; it’s a key part of our commitment to giving something back to the community we work in.”
Kristine Scott, Partner and Head of Cheltenham office, added: “It’s been great to see so many of our staff coming together to help give back – something that’s an important part of the culture and ethos of HCR.”
Next on the CSR agenda is ‘Nelson’s Noel Wellbeing Challenge’ with The Nelson Trust. Christmas is a time for giving, but also for wellbeing, which is why staff in Cheltenham will take on challenges throughout December to help improve their wellbeing and raise funds for the charity.
As part of the challenge, we are also delighted to be sponsoring the charity’s mindfulness walking day on Friday 2 December. To find out more about their initiative and how you can get involved, click here.
