Buying up all the toys – lawyers advise on Worlds Apart acquisition

There was no time to play during the acquisition of Worlds Apart by Moose Toys, supported by Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ corporate team and Aegis Corporate Strategy, which was completed to tight timescales and gives both companies greater reach. Worlds Apart is best known for its brands ReadyBed, Scruff-a-Luvs and Kid Active.

Neil Shinner, Worlds Apart’s CEO, said: “We welcome the opportunity to work with such an accomplished and successful global team. We believe that joining with Moose will help realise all the fantastic new product opportunities that are being created and also release the full potential of our talented team.”

Rich Wilkey, who led on the deal with Mary Pears, acting for Worlds Apart shareholders, said: “The deal was completed in good time, with some international complexities given that Moose Toys are Australian.

“The deal will give Worlds Apart continued global growth and gives Moose a firmer footing in the European market; it’s always a pleasure to be able to support a deal with such mutual benefits.” Worlds Apart is based in Newquay.
