Investment in career development shows commitment to newly qualified solicitors

3rd April 2024

As a Top 60 law firm, HCR invests heavily in its people to ensure continued growth. This month, the firm welcomes eight newly-qualified solicitors across a range of teams serving everyone from those buying their first home to multi-national corporates.

After qualifying, solicitors at the firm are supported through their early careers with mentoring and career development plans tailored to their practice areas and individual needs. The opportunities provided through this support are vast – from working with household names to international secondments.

The latest newly-qualified solicitors continue their careers in a firm which is consistently ranked as one of the top dealmakers across the UK according to the Experian IQ market report, and join teams which are highly-ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners leading legal directories across practice areas as varied as commercial partnerships, technology and sports law.

Oliver RobinsonSonia Gill and Caitlin Swift qualify into the firm’s large Real Estate team in the Wye Valley, Birmingham and Cheltenham offices respectively, taking the next step in their careers.

The London office gains two new solicitors in Rebecca McEneaney and Habibur Rahman, who join the Commercial and Corporate teams in the city.

Mahima Choudry joins the Wye Valley office later this month as an employment solicitor and Manyara Matambanadzo becomes part of the Worcester Commercial team. Cambridge’s growing Restructuring and Insolvency team welcome Emma Potter following her qualification this month.

Rachel Turner, the firm’s Training Principal, said: “I’m delighted to see our latest cohort of NQ solicitors continuing their careers with the firm. Their achievements are reflective of the expertise and culture of care which is so important to HCR when training lawyers and providing a first-class service to our clients. I know they are looking forward to continuing to support clients and colleagues across the firm as they begin their journey as qualified Solicitors.

“I can see a bright future for our NQs – and one which will enhance our offering to clients across a range of specialisms.”
